AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a web service that helps you securely control access to AWS resources. You use IAM to control who is authenticated (signed in) and authorized (has permissions) to use resources.
We use IAM to create roles for our functions. IAM is accessed via services.
To create a role select Roles on the left hand side menu
Once selected we need to select the service which the role will be used for
Now attach permissions
Type Dy in search box and check box for AmazonDynamoFullAccess
No tags needed click next review
Name your role and click create role
Role now ready to be used in function
